Gerard Virga, Esq. brings diverse legal skills to the firm. He holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Florida and a Juris Doctorate Law Degree from the Cumberland School of Law.

 

While at Cumberland School of Law, Mr. Virga was selected as a member of their Trial Advocacy Team. Competing against teams from other law schools in the country, Mr. Virga's team won the Regional competition and went on to the National competition sponsored by the American Trial Lawyers Association(ATLA). Additionally, Mr. Virga was selected by U.S. Senator Jeff Sessions to advise him on matters before the Judiciary Committee of the U.S. Senate. Mr. Virga also advised the Senator on important U.S. constitutional matters and played a prominent role in U.S. Senate confirmation hearings of Federal Judges nominated by the President. Next, Mr. Virga was hired as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Florida and worked directly for Governor(then Attorney General) Charlie Crist. His focus, while there, was in the area of economic crimes and he litigated several cases to protect the rights of small businesses in the State.

 

Following his service with the State, Mr. Virga returned to his hometown to practice law. Working for two different law firms over the past few years, he gained valuable local experience representing numerous clients in the areas of Family Law, Civil Litigation, and Criminal Defense. Mr. Virga established his own firm in November 2006 and is dedicated to protecting the legal rights of people in the local community.
